How the VerseOne Innovation Fund brings pioneering projects to life

Dangling light bulb on dark background

At VerseOne Group, we believe in making a positive impact on the communities we serve. We were founded over 20 years ago with a vision to help improve the lives of individuals who rely on the NHS, Social Housing, and other Care providers, through the use of technology; and our commitment to innovation and social responsibility is at the heart of everything we do.

That's why we have the VerseOne Innovation Fund. This fund is designed to create pioneering solutions and support early-stage businesses that aim to improve people's lives through digital health and other socially responsible projects.

What is the VerseOne Innovation Fund?

The VerseOne Innovation Fund is a seed capital fund dedicated to investing in early-stage businesses with powerful and unique Intellectual Property (IP). Our goal is to support innovative solutions that can make a meaningful difference in the sectors we work with. So, whether you're part of a university research team or developing a digital solution that will benefit your colleagues or the people you care for, the VerseOne Innovation Fund is here to help.

Plus, we offer more than just financial support. Drawing on VerseOne Group’s expertise and specialist resources in software and digital technologies, we provide a range of complementary value add services, including:

  • Investment typically up to £250,000
  • Strategy and go-to-market business plan
  • Product development, market positioning, and pricing
  • ‘Champion Customer’ programme for rapid uptake and product establishment
  • Incubation and provision of key business support functions
  • Day-to-day support and mentoring as appropriate
  • Future growth and further funding support

How we’ve helped communities so far

Our commitment to innovation and social responsibility is reflected in the projects we've supported so far. Working with both the social housing sector and the NHS, we have built projects and provided equipment that address challenges within local communities, such as:

HACW life stories platform

In partnership with the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust (HACW), we developed a pioneering digital Life Stories platform. This platform empowers users suffering from cognitive impairment to create their own 'digital memory book' by capturing and sharing photos, music, memories, and more. Through reminiscence activities, the platform stimulates memories and enhances the well-being of it’s users and help deliver better person centred care.

The Sowena innovation fund

We are proud to support the Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's Sowenna VR Appeal as the first recipient of an award from the VerseOne Innovation Fund. This project uses the power of Virtual Reality (VR) to help young people create safe spaces, providing them with a supportive and therapeutic environment where they can talk to professionals about their mental health and receive the support they need in a relaxing environment.

We want to make a difference

Our values of innovation, social responsibility, and community support guide us in all that we do. We’re excited about the potential of the VerseOne Innovation Fund to foster new ideas and drive positive change, and we’re proud of the projects that we’ve already launched under the VerseOne Innovation Fund.

Are you developing a digital solution that will make a positive difference? Do you have an exciting idea that can improve people's lives? If so, we want to hear from you! Together, let's continue to innovate and make a meaningful impact on our community.
