Blue Prism Founder joins VerseOne Group Board
VerseOne Group, the market-leading supplier of Digital Experience, Workforce Productivity Management, and Business Automation platforms to the NHS and the public sector, is delighted to announce that it has strengthened its Board with the appointment of Blue Prism Co-founder Alastair Bathgate as a Non-Executive Director.
Bathgate, who has also invested in VerseOne Group, co-founded Blue Prism in 2001 and led the company as CEO through start-up, seed funding, global expansion, and IPO in 2016.
Blue Prism created a new enterprise software product category known as Robotic Process Automation, and grew to be one of the UK's most successful software companies — with revenues of over £100m, a market cap of over £1bn, and 2,000 customers in 130 countries and 70 industry sectors.
Having spent nearly twenty years in the hot seat, Alastair stepped down from the board of Blue Prism in 2020, and turned his hand to investing and advising with the aim of helping UK tech succeed on the world stage.
With his wealth of experience in enterprise software and his proactive approach, the VerseOne Board is confident that Alastair will make a significant and positive impact to the business.
