Origin’s entry synopsis
Origin Housing is a mid-sized housing association that owns and manages more than 7,000 homes across London and Hertfordshire. “Proud to be a forward-thinking housing association embracing digital transformation,” Origin says it is investing in Microsoft technologies to better serve residents. In December 2021, Origin identified an opportunity to improve the way it manages safeguarding cases. Handled to date by legacy manual systems on spreadsheets, Origin assembled a digital innovation team to engineer a new process.
Judges Feedback
It was great to see the collaboration between the business and technology, driving the agenda forwards and bringing together multiple company departments to create a dedicated working team. Moving from paper to digital is hard and Origin should be commended for being needs-led with a focus on operational improvements
