VerseOne and Incommunities: A website refresh for enhanced usability

VerseOne is proud to announce the successful completion of a website refresh project for Incommunities, a social housing landlord based in Bradford. Managing over 22,600 homes across Yorkshire, Incommunities is committed to providing high-quality housing and services to local communities.
As a valued VerseOne customer since 2017, Incommunities first partnered with us for their website and self-service customer portal after recognising our sector expertise and the powerful capabilities of our platform. Our solution supports personalisation, automation, and seamless integration-key factors in delivering a high-performing, user-friendly website and customer portal.
When the time came to revitalise their digital presence, they collaborated with VerseOne to bring their vision to life with the goal of enhancing the overall user experience on their website. Rather than focusing solely on branding and design updates, the refresh centred around refining the website's information architecture. By restructuring content and navigation, Incommunities empowers users to find the information they need quickly and easily, in a format they can understand.
The refresh included updates to page templates, headers, and their homepage navigation. New components such as a redesigned people showcase, an image gallery with a lightbox overlay, improved CTA buttons, accordions, and an FAQ section were also introduced.
Collaboration was at the heart of this project. Multiple sessions were held with Incommunities to define project goals and validate the proposed changes. By focusing on specific user personas and journeys, we ensured the redesign met the needs of all users. Regular check-ins allowed us to course-correct where necessary, keeping our vision on track. Interactive wireframes were also shared for review before final sign-off.
With all adjustments complete and the customer fully satisfied, the refreshed website went live. This project highlights VerseOne's commitment to user-centric design and ongoing collaboration, ensuring our customers receive a digital solution that truly works for them. Thanks to Incommunities for working with us on this project and we look forward to further collaborations in the future!
