ClwydAlyn's new digital resident portal goes live
ClwydAlyn Housing Limited was formed in 1978 as a non-charitable Registered Social Landlord, who now manage over 6,000 units of accommodation and provides related support services across 7 counties in North Wales.
ClwydAlyn commissioned a new customer portal back in 2019, with the view to providing their residents across North Wales with a fantastic self-service solution that reflected the organisations values and ambitions, also ensuring that their high staff/resident satisfaction rating would be maintained, and would be digitally inclusive for both English/Welsh speakers and all age groups.
The work was kicked off just prior to Lockdown 1.0 in March 2020, and has endured through the tribulations of COVID, various challenges and change controls midway through – including a conversion to customer webservices – and also had the challenges of reconciling the requirements with a customer whose user group is bilingual.
Despite this, it has been a fantastic achievement to get this over the line at long last and, ultimately, makes the end result more satisfying.
The new digital portal, hosted by Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing service, also meets national accessibility standards
The customer is really pleased with the finished article with Kerry Davies and James Cozens, Project Manager and Communications/Marketing Officer respectively, stating that feedback internally and from residents has been really positive, and that their resident offering ‘has come along by a country mile….1000 times better than our previous portal!’
