Building a sustainable future: VerseOne's commitment to ESG

Small tree growing in the palm of someones hand

Over 20 years ago, we were founded with a singular vision; to empower and improve the lives of individuals who rely on the NHS, Social Housing, and other Care providers, through the use of technology. Our journey has been deeply intertwined with the pursuit of sustainable, equitable, and responsible business practices and this has engrained Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into our everyday decision making and the strategies we adhere to.

At VerseOne, we recognise the need to mitigate our environmental footprint across all areas of the business, especially in designing, developing, and hosting solutions through our digital experience platform. Through strategic outsourcing, hybrid working and conscientious supply chain partnerships, we’re constantly working to minimise waste and reduce our carbon footprint.

As a business, we’ve reviewed our current ESG initiatives and have outlined 7 key areas where we commit to doing our part to improve sustainability and help save the planet.

  1. Resource efficiency: by eliminating single-use products, we’ll be reducing waste to landfill. We also pledge to responsibly managing water resources.

  1. Climate action: we commit to integrating climate resilience measures into our strategies, utilising renewable energy sources, supporting flexible working, and leveraging Microsoft Azure's environmentally friendly Cloud platform.

  1. Social responsibility: embedded within our corporate DNA is the ethos of empowerment and positive social change. Aligned with the NHS long-term plan, our digital transformation solutions prioritise accessibility and personalised information dissemination.

  2. Community engagement: we pledge to actively participate in philanthropy, volunteering, and strategic partnerships to create positive social impact.

  3. Diversity and inclusion: fostering a workplace culture of respect, dignity, and fairness is important. We will promote equality, diversity, and inclusion policies, and support initiatives for neurodivergent adults.

  1. Employee well-being: we prioritise the health, safety and well-being of our employees by providing a safe work environment, offering flexible working arrangements, and investing in professional development. Our commitment to employee well-being is reflected in our benefits package and continual improvement initiatives.

  1. Governance excellence: adhering to the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and transparency, VerseOne upholds ethical business practices and maintains a diverse and independent Board. Our governance framework emphasizes stakeholder engagement and transparent communication to address concerns and drive meaningful dialogue.

Our ESG journey is a testament to our unwavering dedication to building a sustainable future for our company, communities, and the planet. By monitoring and embracing ESG principles, we remain steadfast in our commitment to operate with integrity, respect diverse perspectives, and contribute positively to the well-being of our customers, our staff and the global population.

As VerseOne continues to evolve, our pledge to ESG principles will continue to guide our actions today, and shape our vision for tomorrow, as we embark on a journey towards a more sustainable and equitable future, where innovation and responsibility intersect to create lasting impact.
