Understanding that a large number of CRM deployments fail through lack of user adoption because, to most users, the user interface is the product, VerseOne’s designers wanted to create a sleek, stylish and intuitive interface; whilst the company’s Information Architects were determined that user productivity was the paramount consideration.
Realising the importance of both concepts, VerseOne combined the most passionate advocates into a new Product User Interface Team, a strategy that has resulted in a new paradigm for web application interaction.
The new UI team threw out the old, slow model of web applications—the full-page reloads and self-contained, isolated modules—and, drawing inspiration from high-end desktop applications, created the Vanadium UI. Harnessing the power of persistent palettes which allow users to re-use data across the CRM, with the easy familiarity of drag-and-drop, the Vanadium UI is a pleasure to use.
